How To Build a Cheap Wall Mount Fiber Box
So your installing fiber optic cable and don't want to spend $80+ on a wall mount fiber box enclosure. Let's say all you have is 6 strands of fiber your working with, or even less, maybe a 4 strand fiber. Or maybe it's going inside a closet where it wont be seen. No matter what the case, we have the perfect solution. A 6-port surface mount box. These are generally used for voice and data installations, but double perfectly as a wall mount fiber box at a fraction of the cost. Typically, savings will be between $75-$95, depending on the box. Let's take a look at what you need for a typical 6 strand fiber install. If your only using 4 strands, just change the quantity on the ST couplers and F-Connector inserts to 4. We still recommend using a 6 port box due to the size and cable distribution posts to wrap the fiber around.
What You Need:
Qty 1 - 6 Port Surface Box
Qty 6 - ST Coupler
Qty 6 - F-Connector Insert
Assembly is quick and only requires about 5-10 minutes. In this video, Mercy shows you what this all looks like. Enjoy

DVR Frames Per Second Comparison
Here's an interesting video showing the difference in frames per second (FPS) on a Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Frames per second is the rate at which each frame is displayed on the monitor. 30 fps is real time recording. The naked eye can't tell the difference between 30 and 15 fps, so 15 fps is considered virtual real time. Still taking up to much space on the DVR? Consider a lower fps rate, like 7.5 frames per second, or even 5 fps. This will still give you a fluid picture, while maximizing hard drive space. Let's take a look at what all this looks like. Enjoy
